Recommend some good tea for me to try~

If you are new to drinking tea i would recommend starting with a basic black tea,e.g. Earl gray etc.

Black Currant tea is my personal favourite.
Nothing extra added and a bit stronger.

All tea is the same plant, Camellia sinensis. If it doesn't have that in it, it's not real tea, it's a 'herbal infusion'. Mind blown harder.

I like Lapsang Souchong personally, no milk, no sugar, nothing but tea.

I like lemon tea at the moment. Tried some herbal stuff but didn't like it in the long run.

So, gents, in a vein attempt to try and liven up this board some: post your rankings of the types of teas, and an explanation of why your lowest tea deserved the spot.

Black > green > chai > white > herbal > oolong

Oolong either tastes like metal, weaksauce, or charcoal, even when brewed carefully. All the sweetener in the world can't hide it's burnt taste. Health junkies drink gallons of it daily, and, while it REALLY does burn those pounds, it's taste can't compete to a good cup of Black tea with two spoons of honey, a lemon wedge, and a marijuana cookie.

Or, in a nutshell, I prefer black tea. Green tea tastes odd to me.

OP, no bullshit here, but I just tried hot tea with a splash of milk for the first time yesterday.
It was glorious. I can't believe I've been drinking that bitter shit all these years.
At least something good came out of me getting the flu.

Tried some genmaicha with matcha today.
