Sounds somewhat like what /vt/ is about to go through. Glad to hear /mlp/ isn't a complete cesspit yet. With regards to Discord it has its uses but it's closed off a lot of previously public hobby spaces, it makes lurking that much more of a pain in the ass and seems to make the web more opaque than ever. There will always be a need for screen sharing, voice chat, and general bullshitting with buddies but I wish Discord didn’t clobber more open communities in the process of providing these features. Sometimes you just want to shitpost and come back to see it in half a decade, all on clearnet.
