I hate how data rots away.
Me too
There are so many things to do in this fleeting life. I want to coded, I want to make memories playing games and talking, i wnat to read stories and fantasize, i want to play instruments well, and i want to archive things. Sadly, you can't easily explore a ton of avenues without sacrificing others. I respect those that spend some of their time in their life to archive things so they aren't forgotten forever.
Archiving seems to be somewhat popular among certain groups of very online people, it's difficult to win against entropy though. What's unfortunate is that some of the most popular social sites in use today are very hard to archive. I don't have a lot of interest in these sites, but I am sure many people would like to have them archived and viewable many years from now, something that may be beyond hobbyists with limited time and budgets.
