hello, it’s heolkeknona. i was thinking of joining forces in making one imageboard. heolkek.com is only $25 on godaddy but if there are lower priced  and better names  that would be great. there is also this video on jschan that are easy to follow here.

i also have some ideas of the imageboard such as themes to be (default, dark, trash, regular 4c, 3c pink, 2c green), drawing capability, adding MOV file support along with mp4, donations. and tripcodes.

i don't know that there's any way for either of us to definitively prove that we're not the stalker, and frankly after seeing the shitshow with whatever was going on over discord with 3c staff i'm very unwilling to compromise my anonymity in any way right now, but if it's any consolation:

1. if either of us were the stalker i don't think we'd seek each other out and work together as opposed to going ahead and making our own site

2. i think the goal for the both of us, if i'm reading what's been said over the past few days right, is to get the site to a point where it has enough vetted staff that it runs itself and we can take as much of a back seat as possible

i've been contacted privately by a few individuals who have information on what's been going on behind the scenes with choachan and its staff. i'm not going to provide specific details out of respect for people's privacy. it's still unclear to me what exactly has been going on behind the scenes (stalker, no stalker, ddos, i don't know), and i don't care to find out more at this point

i'll make this clear again, since one of the people contacting me seem to think i am involved with the drama: i am not. i am not jacki or sandwich or whoever you think i am, nor am i affiliated with anyone else from 3c or lc. if anyone else is going to contact me under the assumption i'm involved, please don't

important points to note as the new site comes online:

1. VPN usage is currently allowed. this will likely not last very long as spammers find their way to the site. if you are concerned about your privacy on the new site, use a vpn while they're available. i recommend mullvad or protonvpn. i will do my best to find a solution to spam and ban evasion that doesn't block vpns

2. exif data is not stripped on jschan. this means that if you have taken a photo, including screenshots, there is likely to be metadata that may identify you. you can use a site like https://jimpl.com/to check this, and use a service like imgur to upload the image and redownload it to strip the data. if you are just posting images that you downloaded from somewhere then you likely won't have to worry about this, but you should still be aware of it. i am going to work on getting jschan to strip this data automatically

2. raw ip addresses are not stored. board staff can not see your raw ip address

3. expect issues and general slowness as i get everything scaled and working properly

4. there is a captacha in place for posting threads. this is a temporary measure

i'm posting an update before i go to bed. i've been digging into jschan to figure out how it works so that i can modify it to strip exif data and i have some ideas of what i could do. jschan's api documentation doesn't seem to be accessible so i'm doing this blind

when i wake up i'm going to turn the web server back on, restrict some things, and open the site up to posting while i work on jschan

sorry if it seems like i've been leading people on too much with the timeline for this. some nonas were able to access the site early, and they can attest that it was in working order. i keep thinking that i have everything in ready and then i find something i didn't consider that i need to do. thank you all for being patient with me

I owe you guys a proper write-up and a post-mortem once you depart. however, since we're running jschan as well the same applies, no Exif data has been stripped from any files. if you're not sure if something you've uploaded has Exif data feel free to delete it or report it so I can delete it for you. following up with some important points, in case people don't see the post on /site/:
