<What's your skincare routine look like?
Bior sunscreen in the morning, that's it unless I wear makeup. At night I use an oil cleanser on days where I wear makeup, then a green tea enzyme scrub, and finish off with a moisturizer. Every 2 weeks I'll do a clay mask, and an extra moisturizing mask when I need it.

<What are your favourite skincare products?
Bior Aqua sunscreen. I wear it every day! Also pic related but it's too expensive for me at the moment. Still haven't found a dupe that fits its quality.

<How do you engage in self-care?
I try to keep in consistent, even when I don't want to because the physical routine is also mental self care. I indulge as needed when in the mood. I love fancy baths

<Do you have any unpopular opinions about certain tonics or charms?
Sometimes a little hair damage is actually useful. My hair looks and styles better after some bleaching.
<What's your skincare routine look like?
Very minimal, just daily moisturizer and SPF. I wash my face with just one cleanser since I don't wear makeup. Retinol and salycilic acid on alternating days if I remember.

<What are your favourite skincare products?
Aveeno in general but sometimes in the morning, if I smell the oats, it makes me so hungry.

<How do you engage in self-care?
Mostly I focus on health, although I can't claim that entirely with the retinol, lol. I also lift weights 3x a week and bike 3x a week. I focus also on diet and eat around 100g of protein a day for my gainz, plus creatine. Honestly creatine is amazing! They have hidden this from us... Nonnies please try it!

<Do you have any unpopular opinions about certain tonics or charms?
I don't know if it's unpopular, but some of the routines I see have so many products, I just wonder where people have the time, or if all those things even do much. The last time I felt like this was while watching this video https://youtu.be/eqQNNtJ46e8?si=RWvuy3YBaqWZF_qC&t=792 . It's just... endless.

How did you start your fitness journey? I was really into fitness a few years ago, but I haven't been able to get into it again. I don't have space for a home gym, my local gyms all suck. I want to be cool and healthy like you. And what benefit have you seen from creatine?
Replies: >>2604
<What's your skincare routine look like?
Dove face bar in the morning, followed by Ponds Cold Cream. Simple AHA cleanser in the night, followed by another slather of cold cream. Laser peel every 3-4 months.

<What are your favourite skincare products?
Ponds Cold Cream. It's the only moisturizer that I like. I go through a container of it every month because I like to slather it on thick. I like that it's non-comedogenic.

<How do you engage in self-care?
Broad question, but I think fitness and diet are the biggest components of self-care. If you can't take care of your body, you're just inviting disaster into your life. I try to get 10k steps every day, and I workout at least 5 times a week. Eating enough protein, getting enough nutrients, indulging in some junk food once or twice a month.

<Do you have any unpopular opinions about certain tonics or charms?
A lot of people would benefit from investing in professional treatments rather than spending large sums on products. Some people over-rely on products instead of nourishing their body, i.e., a person needs to eat healthy and exercise to look good, if they don't then no matter what products they try, they won't look as good as they could.

Yay! I do bodyweight fitness at home for exactly the same reasons, I hate going to the gym. It doesn't take up room in the house, I just have a pull-up bar on a door frame and the rest I can do in the living room with just a yoga mat and some chairs, and that all gets put back away after I'm done.

Hevy is my favorite app to track this.

Creatine makes me feel energized and I swear it made my muscles bigger, but could just be bias lol. I feel like I get tired way less, too.

Ntayrt, but creatine does slightly increase the water retention for your muscles, so that's why the pump lasts for longer. It also contributes to more stamina during workouts, so you build muscle quicker because you can do more exercise.

<What's your skincare routine look like?
Sunscreen, face cleanser.
<What are your favourite skincare products?
I use the trader joe’s sunscreen and cera ve face cleanser, forgot the specifics though. My skin is alright
<How do you engage in self-care?
I have ADHD and am not medicated yet unfortunately so I like to drink caffeine, I’ve learned to balance it more and drink it earlier in the day and it has helped immensely with my sleep schedule.
I like to lift weights and go on runs, lifting weights is also what I do whenever I see something that pisses me off because I have weights at home kek. Lifting helps regulate my emotions. I’m trying to sculpt my body but I’m trash at it
<Do you have any unpopular opinions about certain tonics or charms?
Not really unpopular but a shit ton of products are really unnecessary and don’t make that much of a difference if your skin is normal. Going to a dermatologist is way more useful than buying a bunch of products. On the topic of products too, so many products are advertised as “better” just because they’re foreign. I don’t know why korean skincare is such a thing. it always came off as “Look!! This product is EXOTIC!>>2604
I take creatine and I’m not afraid of bulk, I like to take it before dinner and right after exercise. Because it fills me up+helps with the muscle building aspect if you take it right after lifting weights. It’s kind of hard to get muscle while being lean as a female though, does anyone got advice on that?
Nonnies... Tell me if this is stupid. No, I know it's stupid. I know. But I just left vacation and I want to go back. I can do a 3 day cruise for like $250 and go to the Bahamas for a whole day. Should I?

doesn't sound too stupid if you can take the time for it and spend the money. you're not fibbing to yourself about it costing ((( only $250 ))), right?
Replies: >>2791
>>2776
I know it's not going to be ((( only $250 ))). I mean they're never but they say they'll cost, you know what I mean? Cruises always find a way to charge you for everything. But it might still be fun. Or I can just drive down to the beach and get a little Airbnb for cheaper.
My hip and knee have been killing me lately and I'm tired of taking painkillers and hoping it goes away. I wish I didn't have to wait forever to see my doctor about it. On the upside that hasn't stopped me from making upper body strength progress, overhead press is fun.

I let the methylene blue hype get to me and I'm going to be trying it out orally and topically soon... Supposedly it's better than retinoids/retinols because of its effects on the cells and I like that I don't have to worry so much about peeling and sun sensitivity with it. I can update you guys on how it goes if anyone's interested. Still waiting for my package to come in the mail.

Here's a good video that covers how mb can be utilized in skincare.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USCtKUpIX8I
This is one of the videos that got me interested in the first place. I'm not using the particular brand of products that the doctor is shilling though. I did an impulse buy on another website called "Meraki" and bought their tallow balm and liquid dropper. It's been three days now and I started both at the same time because I got too excited lol. I'm only ingesting a few small drops at the start of the day and doing a second dosage later if I feel bold enough. As for the balm, I wish I looked closer at the ingredients beforehand since it has essential oils but it's whatever. It's too soon to see the effects on my skin yet but I'm worried it'll actually dye blue overtime with me applying it two times a day lol. So I may cut back to applying it once a day. As for the drops... they're freaky. The first day I took two small separate dosages and noticed this weird feeling in my head. It wasn't painful, and it wasn't sore, but I could tell it was doing something. There's supposedly a lot of good neurological effects that comes with the stuff, and I do have to say I feel slighly more alive than I normally do (I have chronic sleep problems that leave me feeling braindead all day). I'm going to wait another couple of weeks or two months to see if there's any other positive changes.

Also, one thing I do want to note and warn others of is that this stuff apparently dyes your organs blue. I found this out yesterday but don't know if there's any other negative implications with that since I couldn't find anything else. It's really fucking weird and I don't know how long your organs stay like that for. I'm still processing that but for now I'm just going to stick to small dosages and see how I like it, and then consider cycling it on/off if I do end up wanting to keep it in my routine.

I haven't looked into it too much but I'm interested if anyone has anything else to say about it as well. One thing that has me cautious is the use of LED bulbs rather than incandescent since LED's emit radiation.
I'm trying to better myself, but working out is hard with no motivation. I'm going to wake up early tomorrow and go on a long walk. I've been lazy for too long, and told that other privateer we would report our victories! Tomorrow I'll have something to report. How is everyone doing in their own self care and improvement?
Replies: >>4252
Ayrt, I’m trying to walk more too. I used to walk like 20k steps a day but sheesh it just takes so long. I have a walking pad at home and I’m tempted to bring it to work instead so I can walk through the work day. I wanna get back into lifting weights but I’m so tired. It’s the end of semester and I have so much to do on a computer, I feel so sedentary.

the best tonic and charm to be a lovely lass is to eat your vegetables and fruits. that’s literally it. you need antioxidants and nothing you take as a supplement is going to absorb the same way. your body knows what to do with the nutrients in vegetables. antioxidants fix damage from the sun or smoking and are literally the thing that fixes your collagen production. you cannot proana and goop your way out of this. learn to like beets and kale and drink a glass of pomegranate juice.

Yep, still alive and kicking. I'm aware that it's used in medical treatments and in both treatment and side effect those are both in large doses. Again, I'm taking extremely small dosages and intermittently.

An update: Neurologically, I felt like I noticed improvements with mood and thinking clarity the first week but not so much anymore. One cool thing that did surprise me about MB is that apparently it's used to treat UTI's - I had no idea and my long-term UTI problem has been pretty much fixed! Really happy about that. Topically, it's hard for me to say whether there's been any noteable improvements on my skin. I'll probably make a better update on that later.

I've also been experimenting with methylene blue and I've had similar results. I'm slowly stepping up the dose so I don't take too much because it can cause serotonin syndrome and the exact dose at which this happens isn't defined. The main improvement that I've noticed is that it improves the speed of my thinking, putting thoughts into words is now much more fluid and it cuts through apathy and makes me more motivated.
Replies: >>4261
>>4259
I thought serotonin syndrome only happens when you take it with antidepressants
Replies: >>4263
>>4261
Because methylene blue is a monoamine oxidase inhibitor, it prevents the break down of serotonin. The body synthesizes serotonin from the amino acid tryptophan. Anything that contains high levels of tryptophan can increase serotonin levels, this includes food, herbal supplements and exercise.

For example if someone eats a lot of turkey breast, they would need to lower the amount of MB they take because lean turkey meat is high in tryptophan. The therapeutic dose of MB for each person will vary because it's dependent on diet not just body weight. A vegan would need more MB than someone who eats lots of meat because a vegan diet is chronically deficient in tryptophan.

For me personally, I eat lots of meat, eggs and dairy, exercise every day and use EAA supplements, which means my therapeutic dose of MB is going to be lower than someone who is sedentary and eats processed foods.

I've done 2 treatments of 5 minutes. I'm aiming it at my face, neck, and chest. Currently I feel like it's just drying out my skin... It feels almost like a sunburn afterwards. So I've been using a serum in the morning and at night instead of just at night to compensate lol.
I have some fine lines developing on my forehead, and some discoloration on my chest from a bad sunburn. I'm preganon so I can't just use retinoids... Which is why I'm using the red light panel.
