Grab ye a flagon o' ale and haul yerself a seat if ye can find one. Let’s parley 'bout ways t' make this vessel proper seaworthy. Ye’ll find that the meta discussion be goin' here...

RULES
1. NO SQUAWKING! No talking about this board elsewhere
2. Moids will be keelhauled. "Scrotefoiling" is not against the rules.
3. All thread OPs must be written in a pirate fashion with board theming
4. Discussion and debate is allowed but excessive hate and infighting isn't
5. NSFW belongs spoilered and in its own thread. No 3D as per website rules.
6. Don't be a scallywag. If privateers unanimously see your post as foolish, it is subject to moderation.

I kept the no squawking rule on the list since it's been a culture mainstay on this board. It isn't enforceable, but I feel like it's a part of our board history.

>>12142
As >>12154 said, most of these are rules that have been around since the board started. I wanted to keep Capmin's original ruleset since it's done well so far. I added the last rule because we are small and for smaller communities, it's usually easier to have a general consensus on choices we make. Scrotefoiling has not been an issue here. If someone got banned for being a moid but they are indeed a true privateer there is a ban appeal option.
With no additional amendments to the rules, I will consider the current list final. I'll add it to the meta OP post. If there are any suggestions, please feel free to add them here.
I read one matey say there may be interest in a general offtopic chatting thread instead of the segmented topic threads. This seems like a good idea to me! If you pirates would be interested in some non IB related chit chat, feel free to start a thread for it. The waters are calm enough here that it would be easy to keep up with.

Tinfoil but negro was put on the euphemism treadmill so people can't post Malcolm X speeches.

This board is nice. I wish it has more activity and I miss the capmin days but this is better than when we had the moderation blackout period. I hope capmin is happy wherever she's sailing now...

Should i made a general chatting thread like first mate suggested or should we just use this one?
I kinda ike the idea of making a galley or tavern thread for mundane discussion tho we've been using this thread for it too

I have been considering starting a vlog as I love watching vlogs myself, so I think it could be fun, but I don't much care for youtube and Google in general. Have any of you had experiences with other videonsharing sites?
Replies: >>11071
>>11038
I would be careful with this. Once you make a channel, there WILL be someone archiving you, looking into your life, and obsessing over you. If you can handle that and you have a squeaky clean internet footprint then go for it. I love watching blogs.
Replies: >>11081
>>11071
If I did it, I would want it to be a silent, faceless vlog as those are the types I most enjoy, but you are totally right about the privacy concerns

Sorry to be negative, especially if any mateys enjoy this, but I already did not understand the appeal of diamond painting because to me it seems like it just leaves people with large completed pixelated canvases that then get piled up at the thrift store because no one wants them in their house. Tonight, I have just learned of "book bedazzling" which seems to be what diamond painters move on from and honestly, I understand it even less. It seems like it would be a hassle to store (the rhinestones might indent any plain softcover books it touches) or read these books (have to worry about the rhinestones falling off), and in many of the examples I've seen, it doesn't even look good. Some covers end up being so pixelated that you can barely make out what the image/title are, and yet I found listings on etsy where people are asking like $150 for a bedazzled book. Who is buying that, if anyone?
Replies: >>12247
>>12244
I feel like this is for a super specific type of book girl, and it's strictly for display and not use. Like the type of people buying every different variation of the Taylor swift special vinyl releases.

I've been faking my race on Lolcow.Farm to get away with posting in certain threads, it's not out of malice or anything, I might be mixed race, I just see the POC community on there seems fairly unified and it's nice to feel like a part of that
I ate a FAT salad recently but I'm still paranoid about the tummy parasite. I couldn't help myself. I just really wanted this specific salad from this specific restaurant! May the lord have mercy on me.

specifically the bull ring types. it's just so unsightly to me. I don't mind the small, thin ones that loop over the side, but the ones that hang in the middle, whether it is round or spiral, I just can not look at it for a video's duration

Is there anything you're guilty of consooming? I don't mean heartfelt collections but pointless stuff you feel compelled to buy?

I use to collect lolita too but sold most of my collection besides my dream dresses. I miss it.
>>12043
I have 100+ books I haven't read.
In my defense I didn't buy the vast majority myself. I signed up for that tranny Amazon wishlist site last year and just put any book that seemed interesting on my list that seemed interesting not expecting to get that many buys but then a rich TRA found my list and bought like 75% of the stuff I put on it.

I'm beginning to think my dreams are showing another reality, a much more twisted one. I've had dreams where I fall through the planes of reality before and it gets very twisted. A lot of mine currently are just random nasty shit like dreams of incest or being molested. It feels very real, though I fear this may be another me trying to reach out for help and I don't know what to do.
Replies: >>11795

I keep having dreams horrible things happen to me. Ceasefired and now they're back again. I don't ever know what it represents, I have deep trauma, but for them to stop and resume baffles me. Maybe it's a similar case?

I think technology is evil. There are half ironic memes about computer chips being demon summoning runes and it almost feels true. The amount of evil brought into the world through the internet outweighs the good.

The fact you used 'females' and didn't include yourself in that category is proof enough that even you don't see yourself as real women.

>>11563
Tall order. Even if you take care of your diet to go on a calorie deficit and exercise everyday, you might only be losing 2-3 pounds a week. Going faster than that is unhealthy.
