You did the right thing. Keep a really close eye on them. Try to report things a soon as you can. Forgetting a puppy outside is such a big red flag, plus all the other things you listed, I'd be worried too. You can slap look up laws in your local area related to leaving animals outside, neglect, etc and report them to the non emergency police number.

I'll be lead of my department at cozy job once the current lead retires which will be a few years. There's not really any other promotions unless I switch departments. I got a 10% raise recently, so I'm unlikely to get any others until our cost of living adjustment. Cozy job also comes with a pension and great insurance. Double income household, other person makes $55k. Not sure if the other job would be a stepping stone but I doubt I'd ever want to make more.

Milk and honey are my only vices. I don't eat sweets, I don't eat junk food, I mostly eat veggies. I drink like 2 gallons of milk a week by myself. It must be done. And without milk I'll be enjoying less honey too.

Tall order. Even if you take care of your diet to go on a calorie deficit and exercise everyday, you might only be losing 2-3 pounds a week. Going faster than that is unhealthy.
