A lot of hiring these days is about luck... Maybe try applying in an industry you've never considered before? That's how I started dispatching for a trucking company. And it was actually a good job. Good luck. I hope the wedding went well.
I've been thinking about getting my master's. I can get an MBA in a year. But, I let my GPA fall below 3.00, although not by very far. I have 2 semesters to raise it, I guess.-- Actually, I just checked and I have a 3.04. Well, cool. I guess that's one less reason not to. I don't have any pressing need for it though, not really.

I applied and got accepted. This was most likely a mistake, but it's a mistake with waived tuition. My favorite kind.

Getting the cops involved. I know cops generally don't do shit, but I'd be furious my entire rest of my life if someone did that to me and got away with it. Possibly also get my CC. I already have guns, but didn't bother with the CC.

I know by the time that nonas actually answer this it will be too late. But if somebody leaves a puppy on their porch for hours, even through a thunderstorm, it's actually your dog, then, isn't it? Like it's morally correct to just take the dog? Because that's what I'm going to do

I probably would have done the same thing, legality aside. Be mindful that they might have a ring camera at their door. The legal way to punish them for this is reporting them to animal control. Check the laws of you local area, though.

Yeah my roommate convinced me it was best to bring her back after the thunderstorm passed. It would be really awkward to take her on a walk past the house from which she was stolen. The thunderstorm part made me mad, though. There was half dollar sized hail, like what the heck. And there were 4 cars outside. I tried knocking on the door first, but no one answered. Why would you leave a little 4lb puppy outside for that? Not even fenced in, just sitting on a porch? They said they forgot she was outside when I brought her back. I'm trying to be friendly though and not a huge asshole about it. The puppy is super friendly and sweet, too. She was a total lovebug, just wanted to sit in everyone's lap and be pet. Super skinny, too. Animal control here is swamped with stray and feral dogs, but we filed a report anyway.

In the hypothetical, it was a grey area that is wrong to anyone who heard about it in detail but boils down to he said she said. I guess the question really is, because he has escaped and gotten away with it, how do I move on. Because the rest of my life has begun and you’re entirely correct that I’m filled with rage about it.

You did the right thing. Keep a really close eye on them. Try to report things a soon as you can. Forgetting a puppy outside is such a big red flag, plus all the other things you listed, I'd be worried too. You can slap look up laws in your local area related to leaving animals outside, neglect, etc and report them to the non emergency police number.
Do you think it's true that mods target certain anons more than others?
Should I switch jobs?

Current job
>Only pays $40k
>Can literally do whatever I want
>Done with work after a few hours
>Got caught playing vidya once and said I was testing hardware no1curr
>M-F 8-5
>I like my coworkers

Potential job
>$100k
>Have to actually work
>Interned there and don't like people
>Probably can't vidya, too much surveillance
>Job could mostly be automated tho
>Nightshift

I'm torn because I'd like to make more, but I hate actually working.

This depends on a few things. What are the possible avenues of growth or promotion at the cozy job? Are you the sole breadwinner or are you a double income household? Is the second job permanent or can it be a stepping stone?

I'll be lead of my department at cozy job once the current lead retires which will be a few years. There's not really any other promotions unless I switch departments. I got a 10% raise recently, so I'm unlikely to get any others until our cost of living adjustment. Cozy job also comes with a pension and great insurance. Double income household, other person makes $55k. Not sure if the other job would be a stepping stone but I doubt I'd ever want to make more.
