>they added the ability to make vanity variants to items and ppl are going turbosperg on it
When 0.D came out dev logs said something like: "woopsie doopsie the game now weights twice as much as before and we pretty much doubled everything that was there but we do believe that it's a very bad practice for community driven projects that could end up in the spaghetti hell so we are going to tone down on that in our future updates"
Nowadays they are going napoleonian, it's like they WANT to expand
>would be real epic if they had a mod to curb all that autism, like generic guns
Would be real epic if they got rid of all that shit. There's some reasoning behind adding 11 different machine guns with slightly altered traits, at the very least it adds up to the "realistic" gun nut experience of having to collect 11 different magazine types but identical items that have absolutely no purpose are just cluttering up my screen for shits and giggles.
By the way, i really like how they implemented the bigger ughhhh, the UI stripe, to the right of your screen. Now i can stretch it to fill up half of my screen, looks better that way.
>bc they look cool and they are all so unique and different?
Not a valid reason for flipping out my camera
>physical reality is too unreliable to preserve things to the future
Nigga, i sculpt from ice, you think i give a fuck about preserving shit.
Few months ago i formatted my entire hard drive without making any backups for my pictures and notes because i just couldn't bother to.
Shit looked rad while it lasted but now it's gone.
And to be honest, my helmet collection wasn't even all that impressive
>ashamed to inform that i tried to make popcorn
Popcorn kinda sucks, i feel like it's too dry.
>ill start to go out without underwear again
I thought you did this all the time, why were you wearing underwear before?
>im long over due to buying new underwear but lmao i wont
Just buy like 50 identical boxers once and forget about it.
>masculine fashion sucks ass
I don't think "masculine" and "fashion" can go hand in hand.
And why do you care, who are you dressing up for?
>its not even a sexual thing, its just so they can have something decent to wear
What's wrong with male clothing, it seems pretty decent
>i didnt find any pants to my liking and i was seriously considering getting something off the feminine section
What pants were to your liking? I think they have different hip ratios so i suppose they would be uncomfortable as fuck.
>also
>those are obscenely expensive
I thought you were a rich trust fund NEET
But yeah, non second-hand clothes are outrageously priced, still affordable.
>the more I hear about what’s happening with CDDA the less I want to go back
Reasonable
You can always go back to 0.D or try out C:BN
C:BN was quite decent and actually surpassed DDA in terms of content last time i've played it.
>picked up caves of qud for a little bit
Me too, shit gets pretty boring around 30th stratum but i think pushing to the late game is worth it, it's pretty fun. I like the new locations they've added while i was away, like the rainbow forest. It seems to be a little bit too overpowered with the whole "every liquid in the game concentrated in one place" thing. Allows you to speedrun through the early game very quickly, i think that's actually a good thing though, considering how fucking boring it is.
>never got comfy
It's quite confusing the first 50 or so runs, but you get used to it after a while. In fact, too used. After you learn how to cheese through it gets sloggy as fuck. I think it's a good game, but developers are gay and they remove fun things on purpose and it was like that from the very beginning, C:DDA had at least a few years of passionate care from the maintainers before it got huge and went to shit.
>nonlinearity is all very well but you really have to handle it properly to justify abandoning the beneficial power that well-embraced linearity provides
I think you're not cut out for those kinds of hyperautistic sandbox do fuck-all games
There's a quest line in CoQ though, and devs reward you for going through it as quickly as possible. But usually i ignore it and just go as deep as physically possible.
>aren’t those sorts of affordances supposed to be for inserting protectively padded caps ala motorbike armor?
Don't think so, they are too small to fit in any plates. I think they would be perfect for inserting money and documents but they are just placed in a really unwieldy manner. The elbow pockets that are present on mountain climbing gear actually extend all the way to your forearm with the zipper stopping right on your elbow, sometimes they extend towards your tricep instead of your forearm but those designs are exotic and rare. In both cases you can fold your hand like if you were checking a wristwatch and comfortably unzip them to put in or put out things.
But the pockets on uranian military uniform are centered directly on your elbows and it's real hard to unzip them with your hand folded, you can only unzip them while your hand is straightened out and it's obviously uncomfortable as fuck to reach for the insides when it's like that.
Have you been to skiing resorts? They have ski passes there, they are just like metro passes but they let you in on skiing lifts instead of metros.
Ski-ggers usually place the passes in elbow pockets and just bang on the scanner that can read fine through clothing. But you wouldn't be able to put any plastic cards inside of a uranian uniform elbow pocket, it would snap instantly as soon as you'll decide to bend your elbow.
>I use notebooks to think
Based, but i never preserve my thoughts long-term, i just come up with new shit instead.
>bad sign
Vibrators were kinda funny and fursuits would've been tolerable if they added other things besides them but yeah, that's the final nail in the coffin. You can start digging
>i was replaying it in january and all the autism mahi described was already there
I would like to add my other recent discoveries.
I started playing as an extremely OP parkourist with no negative traits, 12 strength and 4 dodging. And i managed to raid a library on day one along with significantly improving my fab skill, seems like they toned down on the profession bullshit so crafting is back. I managed to build a rock forge and kiln on day 2 and loaded up the kiln while i was reading books on ancient artillery. After toiling coal i was getting ready to complete my blacksmith setup but turns out, that you can't make fucking anvils anymore, it's just not an option. I have to make a crude anvil, and the only way to make it is by cutting train rails with an angle grinder. So this path is entirely cockblocked by power tool and rail spawns. The only other option is either finding an anvil spawned in the wild somewhere in gun shops or making a bronze anvil, i have no fucking idea where am i supposed to get those RIDICULOUS amounts of bronze required but it seems like they added ores to the game but holy fucking shit that's so AUTISTIC why can't i just weld an anvil like i could before.
Also, i can't can't craft half the tools now required to use an anvil without using an anvil and those tools, so yeah, devs are fucking insane.
>btw they now have a cool mod called mind of matter
I'll try it if it werks on BN because right after dying on this run i am uninstalling DDA and forgetting about it for an indefinite amount of time.
>you should look into zettelkasten
zetta what?
>you can have any pants you want as long as they are dark jeans
I rarely ever see mf's wearing jeans, don't know what are you talking about
